The 60 plus team first took the field in 2006 with a programme of friendly matches and joined the Shepherd Neame Home Counties 60 plus Championship in 2007.
In 2008, they finished 6th of 10 counties in the Championship (now known as the Spitfire National 60 plus Cricket Championship) and in 2009, 6th out of 19 in the expanded competition.
The Championship expands further to 21 Counties in 2010 with Worcestershire transferring from the North to the South group. We are also entering the inaugural 2nd XI Championship of 9 Counties.
The fixture programme will give 13 1st XI Championship matches and 10 2nd XI Championship matches as well as 8 friendlies.
Selection policy ensures that all members of the squad, if fit and available, get the opportunity to play during the season.
We have 35 potential players on "the books" for 2010 but would welcome more. Anyone interested, who is a member of a Worcestershire club and/or born or resident in the County should contact Gerald
